DLC Energy Efficiency Certification

Date:2024-08-14

The full name of DLC is "The Design Lights Consortium". A voluntary energy efficiency certification program initiated by the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) in the United States, the DLC certified product catalog is used to promote high-performance LED lights that have not yet been covered by the Energy Star standard across the United States.

The current DLC technical requirements table version is V4.0, which will be implemented from September 1, 2016. The lighting products involved mainly focus on outdoor commercial and industrial building LED lamps, such as outdoor wall lights, garage lights, mining lights, outdoor LED lamps, and LED tubes. Its main performance requirements for the product include total luminous flux, annular luminous flux, luminous efficiency, color temperature, color rendering index, luminous flux maintenance rate, power factor, and harmonic distortion. DLC certification requires products to be tested and reported by a third-party laboratory accredited by NVLAP.
